We wanted to create a space that promotes human connections and well-being. Our project involved designing an apartment for two elderly individuals by connecting two apartments and creating a shared living area. We believe that no one should feel lonely in their last days, and our concept of using wood grids to divide the space not only creates privacy but also diffuses the light, resulting in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The caretakers are on the top floor, which designed to be open, providing the caretaker with a clear view of the lower level. This feature ensures that the caregiver can monitor the residents' activities and respond promptly to any needs.
